Air Fryer Baked Apples

Ingredients
  

  • 2 large apples preferably firm, such as Granny Smith or Fuji
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar for caramelizing
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon adds warmth and flavor

Method
 

  1. Core each apple using a knife or apple corer, leaving the bottom intact to hold the filling.
  2. Mix the sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl until well combined.
  3. Using a spoon, fill the hollowed centers of each apple with the cinnamon-sugar mixture, pressing gently to pack the filling inside.
  4. Place the filled apples into the air fryer basket, standing upright for even cooking.
  5. Sprea d the remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture over the tops of the apples for extra caramelization.
  6. Set the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) and cook for about 10 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the edges start to caramelize, with fragrant cinnamon aroma filling the air.
  7. Carefully remove the apples from the air fryer using tongs, letting them cool slightly before serving.
  8. Serve the warm apples as is, or with a drizzle of caramel or a scoop of vanilla ice cream for extra indulgence.
