  • 30 ml lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 15 ml honey syrup equal parts honey and water, mixed until smooth
  • dash cinnamon ground or a cinnamon stick
  • ice ice enough to fill the shaker
  • 1 piece cinnamon stick or lemon twist for garnish

Equipment

  • Cocktail shaker
  • Strainer
  • Measuring jigger
  • Citrus zester or peeler

Method

  1. Gather all your ingredients and tools—this ensures a smooth process from start to finish.
  2. Pour 60ml of whiskey into your cocktail shaker, followed by 30ml of freshly squeezed lemon juice.
  3. Add 15ml of honey syrup to the shaker, and sprinkle a dash of cinnamon for warmth and spice.
  4. Fill the shaker with plenty of ice—enough to chill the mixture thoroughly.
  5. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds, until the outside of the shaker feels cold and frosty, and the drink inside is nicely chilled.
  6. Place a strainer over your glass and pour the cocktail through it, catching any ice or spice bits.
  7. Garnish with a cinnamon stick or a lemon twist to add aroma and visual appeal.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy the warm, spicy aroma and smooth, icy sip of your cinnamon-spiced whiskey sour.
