Ingredients

  • 24 cookies Golden Oreo cookies crushed into fine crumbs
  • 8 oz Cream cheese softened
  • 16 oz Chocolate or candy coating shimmering gold, for dipping

Equipment

  • Food processor
  • Mixing bowl
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Melting pot or microwave-safe bowl
  • Spoons or dip tools

Method

  1. Place the Golden Oreo cookies in a food processor and pulse until they form fine crumbs.
  2. Transfer the cookie crumbs to a mixing bowl and add the softened cream cheese. Mix thoroughly with a spoon or spatula until the mixture is evenly combined and sticky.
  3. Scoop out small portions and roll them between your palms to shape into uniform balls. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet and refrigerate for about 30 minutes to firm up.
  4. Once chilled, melt the chocolate or candy coating in a microwave-safe bowl or using a double boiler until smooth and glossy.
  5. Using a spoon or dipping tool, carefully lower each chilled ball into the melted coating, ensuring it’s fully coated with a shiny layer.
  6. Place each dipped truffle on a parchment-lined plate to set. Repeat the dipping process until all truffles are coated and have a glossy, golden finish.
  7. Allow the coated truffles to set at room temperature or refrigerate until the coating is firm and shiny.
  8. Arrange the finished truffles on a decorative plate or in a box, ready to serve or gift. The golden glow makes them especially festive and eye-catching.

Notes

For best results, work quickly when dipping to prevent coating from hardening prematurely. You can add edible glitter or sprinkles before the coating sets for extra holiday sparkle.
