Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries hulled and halved
  • 1 cup milk can be dairy or plant-based
  • 1 shot espresso freshly brewed and cooled

Method
 

  1. Place the halved strawberries into the blender and blend until smooth and vibrant red, about 30 seconds, releasing a sweet fruity aroma.
  2. Add the milk to the blender and pulse a few times to combine the fruit and liquid, creating a smooth pink mixture.
  3. Pour the freshly brewed, cooled espresso into the blender and blend again for 10 seconds, allowing the dark coffee to swirl into the pink mixture.
  4. Fill two glasses with ice cubes, enough to chill the drinks thoroughly.
  5. Pour the strawberry-espresso mixture evenly over the ice in each glass, watching the pink fluid cascade with a hint of brown from the espresso.
  6. Gently stir the drinks with a straw or spoon to combine the flavors and chill further, hearing the icy crunch and sensing the cool temperature.
