Ingredients

  • 4 cups ripe peaches, peeled and pitted fresh or frozen
  • 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice about 2-3 lemons
  • 2 tablespoons honey or sugar to taste
  • 1 cup ice cubes or more for desired consistency

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method

  1. Combine the peeled peaches, fresh lemon juice, and honey in the blender.
  2. Pulse the blender a few times to start breaking down the fruit, then blend until the mixture is smooth and frothy.
  3. Add the ice cubes to the blender and pulse several times, then blend until the mixture is thick, icy, and slushy, with small chunks of fruit still visible.
  4. Stop the blender and check the texture—if it's too thick, add a splash more lemon juice or a tablespoon of water and pulse briefly to loosen.
  5. Pour the peach lemonade slush into glasses, allowing some chunks of fruit and a vibrant color to show through.
  6. Garnish with fresh peach slices or lemon zest if desired, and serve immediately with a straw or spoon for scooping.

Notes

For a creamier texture, blend in a dollop of yogurt or frozen Greek yogurt before serving.
