Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries hulled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk full-fat preferred
  • 2 oz white rum optional, for alcohol content
  • 1-2 tablespoons honey or simple syrup adjust sweetness to taste
  • Ice cubes ice cubes enough to chill and blend

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Cocktail glasses

Method

  1. Place the sliced strawberries, coconut milk, rum, honey, and a handful of ice cubes into the blender.
  2. Secure the lid and blend on high until the mixture is smooth, creamy, and vibrant pink, about 30-45 seconds.
  3. Pause to check the texture—it should be thick, velvety, and well blended. Add more ice if you prefer a colder, thicker drink and blend briefly again.
  4. Pour the strawberry colada into chilled cocktail glasses, filling them almost to the rim.
  5. Garnish with a fresh strawberry or a small sprig of mint for a colorful touch.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy the luscious, tropical flavors of your homemade strawberry colada.

Notes

For a non-alcoholic version, omit the rum and add a splash of pineapple juice for extra tropical flavor.
