  • 1 cup cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced ripe and fragrant
  • 1 teaspoon tsp vanilla extract optional, for enhanced aroma
  • 2 cups cups milk can be dairy or plant-based
  • 1 tablespoon tbsp honey or sugar to taste, optional

Method
 

  1. Combine the sliced strawberries, vanilla extract, and honey in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Cook gently, stirring occasionally, until the strawberries soften and release their aroma, about 5 minutes.
  3. Raise the heat slightly and add the milk to the saucepan, stirring well to combine with the strawberries.
  4. Warm the mixture until just steaming and bubbling around the edges, then remove from heat.
  5. Use a whisk to froth the milk mixture until it’s light and slightly bubbly on top.
  6. Pour the prepared strawberry latte into mugs, ensuring the vibrant pink hue is visible.
  7. Finish with a light swirl or a few extra strawberry slices for a decorative touch.

Notes

For a richer flavor, top with whipped cream or a sprinkle of vanilla powder before serving.
