- Add the watermelon chunks, honeydew, basil, lime juice, and grated ginger to your blender jar.
- Pour in the crushed ice on top of the fruit mixture.
- Secure the lid and blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth and slightly frothy, about 30-40 seconds. You should see a vibrant pink color and a thick texture.
- Pause to check the consistency; if it's too thick, add a splash of water or more lime juice and blend briefly again.
- Pour the smoothie into glasses, allowing the icy texture to settle slightly on top.
- Garnish with a small basil leaf or a thin slice of lime for a fresh finishing touch.
Notes
Can be made ahead and refrigerated for up to 1 hour for extra chill. Stir before serving if icy layers separate.
